Getting Started with Essential Oils

Do you ever feel a little “off” sometimes?  Almost as if your brain is foggy and you need a boost? Brain fog is becoming increasingly common however, it is not normal.  The cause of brain fog can vary person to person and specific aromas can actually trigger your mind and vanish the fog.

Essential oils are quite popular today with good reason.  They are scientifically proven to mentally sharpen the brain.  Depending on the type of oil, they can help you become more alert,  focused, relaxed, energized and renewed.

Lavender

Benefits: Soothing, calming

  • Add a few drops to your pillow before sleeping
  • Apply on face to reduce blemishes
  • Consume 1-2 drops to help calm your nervous system

 

Peppermint

Benefits: Cooling, energizing

  • Ingest to alleviate an upset stomach
  • Apply a few drops to the back of your neck to cool off
  • Rub on neck and head for a soothing sensation when tense

 

Frankincense

Benefits: Renewing, grounding, rejuvenating

  • Ingest to support healthy cellular and immune function
  • Diffuse for a sensation of relaxation and balance

 

Rosemary

Benefits: Enhances memory, uplifting, stimulating

  • Rub on palms in the morning to internalize your tasks for the day
  • Add a few drops to your bath to rejuvenate and prepare for the day

 

Sage

Benefits: Stimulates senses, enhances memory

  • Apply to hands and inhale to open your mind and memory functions
